El Independiente - Adaptation to climate change and its impacts on the coast.

Participation of Miriam García in the El Independiente article on global warming and impacts on Spanish coasts and beaches such as "floods, more intense and frequent storms, salt intrusion [in aquifers], erosion, increase in sea temperature and acidification, as well as loss of biodiversity (...) By 2050, the average sea level will continue to rise, leading to gradual flooding of coasts around the world, especially sedimentary and deltaic coasts, which are more vulnerable to erosion. To this permanent flooding must be added the height of the waves in cases of strong storms that are expected to become more intense, frequent and subject to strong dynamics of change in their direction.
